| Grand Opening - All Media Gallery Reception - October 24, 2003 | |

Awards were presented at The All Media Show, juried by David Freed from VCU School of Fine Arts. First place was Dana Frosticks' "Construction on Lombardy". Second place was awarded to Cynthia Losen's "Waiting for the Bride". Lorraine Clark received the third place award for "The White Shirt" and John Balasa received honorable mention for his "Southern Magnolia". The show runs through November 21, 2003. In the Centre Gallery, Marjorie Perrin's work was featured and is on display through November 21, 2003. The Skylight Gallery was packed with visitors to see Tom Hale's work. This work will be on display through November 21st. The Detroit Transit Railroad band performed in the event hall preceded by a performance by belly dancers.

ART WORKS Grand Opening October 24th huge turn out
Over 500 people attended the grand opening of ART WORKS, Inc.. Councilman Walter Kinney officiated at the ribbon cutting ceremony and received a plaque from ART WORKS, to commemorate the occasion.
ART WORKS, Inc. announced the founding of the Jane Sandelin Gallery and was presented a donation from her family to begin the renovations of the warehouse space for this purpose. Future fund raising events are being planned.
