The Pre-Thanksgiving Annual Holiday Art Affair @ Art Works! Since there are five Fridays in November this year, 4th Friday comes before Thanksgiving. So instead of the DAY AFTER…exhibit we’ve renamed the annual event to THE PRE- THANKSGIVING ART AFFAIR. This is a day of shopping, music, and exhibits. Starting at 12 p.m. the artisans and fine craftsmen share handmade candles, soaps, jewelry, pottery and textiles - perfect for holiday gifts. Then at 7 p.m. the art show receptions and gallery talks begin lasting until 10 p.m. The exhibits continue through January 19, 2014. This event is free and open to the public. Parking is free on show night!

The Pre-Thanksgiving Art Affair will ease you into the holidays with good art, music, door prizes and shopping.

Starting at noon, in the main gallery, Ten Artisans and fine craftsmen will be displaying and selling unique and innovative artwork and gifts – all $50 and under. You’ll find soaps, textiles, candles, glass, pottery and jewelry. Meet Crystal Neilson-Hall - The Freckled Farm Soap Company, Cierra - Pretty Box, Stephen Lewis – Artisan Attic, Linda Vegas – Vegas Glass, Josi Hopkins – Soul Purpose, Imani Bilal – Venus Visuals and Gina Demmert – Jewelry, Painted Gourd Bowls and ornaments, A Girl and her Balloon - Aprons, Kid's toys, bags.
The shops and artist studios will be open with special holiday savings.

From 1:00 pm – 4:00 pm, we’ll have art activities for the children. And of course there will be holiday cider and cookies to share.

At 7:00 p.m. the art shows receptions begin. The exhibits include:

#DECODERVA by Jeff Hall. This interactive exhibit is collaboration by husband and wife, Jeff and Colleen Hall. Jeff Hall is an Apple Distinguished Educator and artist. His daily blog will give some insight and a preview of the upcoming show. Follow him on where he explores hidden truths lost in translation. UPDATE: The feature painting has been unlocked and will be open for viewing from 4-6pm only through Januray 19th, 2014

The exhibit will be in the Jane Sandelin Gallery.

RECENT WORKS BY JOHANNA STONEKING Centre Gallery. Photography by award-winning Johanna Sonteking.

IN SEARCH OF by Joseph B. Cobb. Photography, Centre Gallery. "Joseph B. Cobb, Jr. is a simple man who imbibes cold Budweisers at his leisure. These photographs are just a few of his own personal epiphanies. We could label them as a documentary or interpretational works, but let's not, because labeling is so gauche in today's society. Creativity is hard enough without adding deep connotations to everything. Being profound is simply observing what is around you and then stating the obvious...reality is profound. These thoughts are Mr. Cobb's and not necessarily those of Anheuser-Busch, Inc."
